What's Up In Ruby? - Ruby search site

WhatsUpInRuby.com is a new Ruby / Rails search site developed by Atlantic Dominion Solutions. Rather than being a Google driven affair, it appears to be custom made and heavily focused on Ruby-only news sources.

Thanks for the mention Peter. The most interesting part of this beta release of whatsupinruby.com are the links on the right hand side of the site. Those links are conversation items. We are parsing RSS feeds from within the Ruby world (hundreds of them), filtering out the noise, and telling visitors what is going on within the context, which in this case is Ruby. Those conversation items are the jumping off point for your search, a search that only spiders sites that are relevant.

Our spiders are still running so the search will get better with time. The About page tells you more of our plans for 1.0 - user provided RSS and Search urls to improve the “what’s going on portion” and search. The main draw of the site however is the “what’s going on.” The search keeps everything within a single context.
