Test::Unit 2.x does provide a priority mode which can greatly speed up your tests.

It seems to me he just wants to be convinced. Or, more accurately, he’s not in the mood for implementing the message passing to have output come from a single thread and he’s keen to see you implement it instead ;-)

I posted this as a request for Test::Unit 2.x as well, but Kouhei is somewhat loathe to implement it.
