Finally a way to mark your Github project as abandoned

I wrote a short article on monday to announce StillMaintained, a simple Sinatra application that keeps track of open source maintenance states. Just log in via Github to add your projects. :)

+1 to build this into Github itself

If Github detects or asks for the programming languages used in a project, you could search for maintainer-wanted and abandoned projects and adopt a project.

Correct, having this as an external service means that not everyone will use it or even know about it (both on the searching and marking side)

This needs to be built into github or it is rather a waste of time I am afraid.
