In my path to learn more about Crystal I wrote yet-another-MangaReader-downloader. The code is over here. And then I decided to port it over to Ruby to see how Crystal and Ruby compare. The new Ruby version of the downloader is here. And I wrote a detailed analysis of this experience. I also benchmarked the Crystal, MRI Ruby and JRuby with this scrapper/crawler use case.
